 Job Purpose:

Develop manufacturing processes and time estimates by reviewing customer designs, specifications and requirements.

 Responsibilities:

* Develops manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research; applying knowledge of precision machining, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with other team members and suppliers; soliciting observations from operators and department supervisors.

* Periodically meet with customers to discuss new projects.  Occasionally travel to customer facilities to meet on site and review project requirements. 

 * Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating costs for customer requirements.

 * Provides manufacturing engineering support to sales team, provides information by answering questions and requests relative to Hoppe Tool's manufacturing capabilities, lead times and provides pricing for use in response to customer requests for proposals/quotations.

 * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies when applicable.

 * Contributes to team effort through hard work and commitment to total internal and external customer satisfaction.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous Manufacturing Methods Engineering experience or practical knowledge of precision manufacturing of complex components and assemblies.
• CAD/CAM knowledge a plus but not a requirement
• Must be a US Citizen as some of our contracts require this for National Defense related jobs.
