A Message to Students and Parents

Exciting things are happening in manufacturing and precision machining!

              

The Western Mass Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (WMNTMA) is working with the schools and colleges to develop Educational Programs, courses, and career awareness opportunities that will familiarize and prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing and precision machining.

The industry is growing, and has many Career Opportunities for students who are eager to learn, willing to work hard in a clean and safe environment using the newest and most updated high technology equipment, willing to work as part of a team of professionals who are dedicated to excellence and in manufacturing the finest products with maximum efficiency, and are committed to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Average Salary after Five Years: $50,000 plus Full Benefits.
  • Starting hourly range for entry level employee: $10.01-$15.00
  • Paid Internships and Paid Summer Internships for students enrolled in machine tool technology educational programs.
  • Co-Operative Education Programs.
  • Part Time After-School/Saturday Jobs.

The WMNTMA is also partnering with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Education Foundation to create awareness of the opportunities for students in Precision Manufacturing .
